Document verification (ID)

And guarantee the hirer that the temporary employee you provided is allowed to work here? The training ‘Document verification’ is the perfect training for you!

Approach

The document verification training helps you to

• acquire the knowledge to correctly verify and authenticate all types of ID documents;
• gain more insight into relevant legislation and possible exceptions;
• manage the relating administrative procedures;
• become a professional HR partner for all your clients, who might have questions about their foreign employees and their right to work freely in The Netherlands.

This practical training provides you with all the necessary knowledge to answer questions on employing foreign workers, ID legislation and regulations and the Compulsory Identification Act.

After completing this training, you will be able to verify ID document’s authenticity, according to the Compulsory Identification Act. You will also learn to establish whether the person standing in front of you is the person the document belongs to (tactical and technical profiling regarding ‘lookalike’).

For whom?

This training is especially suited for any (junior) HR professional, responsible for verifying ID documents and the administrative handling of these documents.

For account managers, responsible for acquisition and client visits, this training provides the tools to interact more professionally. The entry level for this training is MBO+.

To achieve the maximum result from the training, we require engagement from all participants. Especially the case studies, that cover the lion share of the training, require quite an intensive contribution from the student.

NEN-inspection

This training complies with all requirements for ID-checks as specified by NEN 4400-1. After completing this training your temporary employment agency could be eligible for  a lower NEN-inspection frequency. For this purpose, you receive a certificate of participation with all the topics covered.

Duration

This training is an in-class training of one full day.

Content

These topics are covered during the Document verification training:

• Legal framework and terms on employment of foreigners (The Foreign National Employment Act, Compulsory Identification Act);
• How to recognise and verify all types of foreigners’ ID documents;
• Assessment of foreign employees’ eligibility to work in the Netherlands either with or without a work permit;
• Recognition of facial characteristics, so-called profiling (this becomes increasingly important as identity documents are increasingly protected);
• How to examine the (authenticity) characteristics of valid ID’s in use in the European Economic Area (EEA), including using verification tools (UV lamp, magnifying glass, etc.);
• Assessment of features and purpose of the Dutch citizen service number (BSN);
• How to answer frequent questions and provide explanation regarding Dutch ID laws and regulations in day-to-day operation.
